Main Street Ministries

Reaching Out to Others

No one can keep a good thing secret, and that is the way we feel about Jesus. Ever since its beginning, Main Street has had a desire to share the message of Jesus Christ throughout its own community and around the world.

Today, we do this in many ways. Financially, we help support missionaries around the world. Our ministry to others, however, also takes a much more "hands on" approach. Some examples of this include our coordination of a Community Thanksgiving Dinner that helps hundreds of people throughout Rush County experience the loving touch of Jesus while enjoying a home-cooked meal; a mission trip by our high school youth group each summer; a group that makes a trip each Thanksgiving to the Grundy Mountain Mission School in Virginia; and support of the local Habitat for Humanity ministry.

Several groups within the church also have outreach ministries of their own. This includes the Christian Women's Fellowship and various Sunday School classes.
